Ripley closes out the JFREJ Purimshpil with a midnight global dance set

  • East Midwood Jewish Center 1625 Ocean ave Brooklyn (map)

It’s always a pleasure to play for NYC’s diasporist, queer, abolitionist, feminist, anti-fascist, trans, & very very maximalist Purimshpil. Brought to you by the Aftselakhis Spectacle Committee in cahoots with Jews For Racial and Economic Justice NYC & GreatSmallWorks..

Come early for the food (it’s usually catered by the Domestic Workers United! group and features lots of caribbean delights)

MATRYOSHKA PURIM: LOOPS, LOTS, & CONSEQUENCE
FEATURING MUSIC BY:
>> M.A.K.U. Soundsystem
>> The Rude Mechanical Orchestra
>> DJ Ripley
>> and more TBA

It's been described as "The Radical Queer Purim Spiel You MUST Attend" (thanks Jewcy!). All your favorite Purim characters will feature, but maybe not in ways you expect. Anticipate music, satire, irreverence, puppets, glitter, doykeit, joy, confusion and lots of fun.

$12-20 at the door, no one turned away for lack of cash or costume. Our first act begins at 8:30!

Our Saturday night show is our all out performance and after-party. Put on your best costume and summon all your energy for the Purim party of your dreams.
